Kate Moloto is the CEO of Moloto Solutions, a corporate governance, financial management and empowerment consultancy, and Moloto BEE, an accredited BEE verification agency. She is a former CEO of Ntsika Enterprise Promotion Agency (now Small Enterprise Development Agency), where she was responsible for the early structuring and piloting of support programmes for SMMEs in South Africa. Her previous and current roles, including serving as a Director of Small Enterprise Finance Limited, have given her first-hand experience of the critical success factors in the field of small business support. Furthermore, Moloto previously set up MAFISA (a microfinance scheme for agricultural production) for the Department of Agriculture. She is a member of the Accounting Authority / Board of Services Seta, where she is the Chairperson of the Entrepreneurship Institute Initiative, the Finance and Transformation Committees and the Management and Business Services Chamber, and a member of the Audit Committee. She is also a co-shareholder and director of AgriVie, a P.E Fund targeting growing agricultural SMMEs in South Africa and the rest of Africa. She is a former Board Chairperson of MTC, an agency of the City of Johannesburg, that is responsible for informal trading stalls, among others. Moloto holds a Bachelor of Commerce, CTA (Certificate in the Theory of Accounting), and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) qualifications plus a Certificate in Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management. She is a Certified Representative under the Financial Services Board.
